Another quiet week for many of our former Knights. This week however it was because many teams were on a bye. Kenny Britt, Jason McCourty, Courtney Greene, J'Vonne Parker, Ray Rice, L.J. Smith, Mike Teel, and Tiquan Underwood were all on bye weeks.

 

Player of the Week

 

Nate Jones – The Miami Dolphins defensive back had a good day against the New Orleans Saints. Jones recorded 5 tackles on the day. He also made his first interception of the season while also deflecting 3 other pass attempts despite his teams loss.

    

Other action

 

       -        Shaun O’Hara once again started at center on the New York Giants offensive line.

 

-        The Tampa Bay Bucs traveled to London to take on the New England Patriots. Jeremy Zuttah started on the offensive line for Tampa Bay in the teams loss.

 

-        In St. Louis, two former Rutgers defensive stars took the field for the Indianapolis Colts. Linebacker Gary Brackett recorded two tackles in the Colts blow out win over the St. Louis Rams. Defensive lineman Eric Foster also had a good game. Foster recorded 3 tackles and got a sack.

 

-        Clark Harris played his second consecutive game for the Cincinnati Bengals.

 

-        Jamaal Westerman saw some action for the New York Jets.

 

Did Not Play

 

 

-        For the second straight week, Brian Leonard did not see any game action for the Cincinnati Bengals. 

 

Injured Reserve

 

-        Darnell Stapleton, J’Vonne Parker, and Gary Gibson are on injured reserve for their teams.

 

   

Other News

 

-        The Arizona Cardinals signed former Rutgers linebacker, Brandon Renkart to the practice squad.
