Macari did just fine for himself this past fall, amassing 800 yards in an injury-shortened season. A nasty, broken thumb suffered against Ludlowe High School (Conn.) during the third week of the season put him on the sidelines for the following two games. After that setback, Macari gutted out the remainder of the campaign, despite having to wear a cast for several weeks.
