College: Beatty is a third-year junior from Miami-Dade Junior College, where he was twice selected First Team All-Southern Conference as well as MVP.

High School: Team Captain and McDonalds All- American finalist at New Hanover HS in Wilmington, N.C. Beatty started varsity for 3 seasons, won a state championship his jr. year and averaged 15.7 points, 5.1 assists and 3.0 steals per game during his senior campaign.
